Hello, everyone!
Today I want to tell you about filming the story.
Well, there are one film and one tv series based on this book.
I've watched the film by David Cronenberg which was filmed in 1983. Generally, the film isn't bad but I was expected more. Of course, there are many differences:
- The car crash isn't such as in the book because in the film Johnny was one in the car and he was driving not in the taxi.
-The second one is about local maniac, who was Frank Dod. At the end of his life he killed a young girl at the age of thirteen but in the film it's a young woman.
-The third one is about the boy Chuck ,for who Johnny was teaching literature. In the film Johnny predicted that Chuck could die at the ice rink but in the book he could die
in fire.
Also in the film there are nothing mentioned about ring which Sura has lost.
Despite on these differences the main idea of this novel was conveyed well and accessible.
Many of the characters look so as I've imagined.
